Why Iridium Suite for nephrology

Iridium Suite delivers nephrology billing software built around the treatment course

Nephrology billing is repetitive. Dialysis and other prolonged treatment courses mean the same patient, the same diagnosis and the same resources, visit after visit, for months. Iridium Suite was developed by billers in a clinical setting, and its treatment-course workflow was built for exactly that pattern, so your staff schedule once, code once, and the system handles the repeat visits.

Built for the treatment course

When the treatment-course workflow is selected, Iridium Suite lists every patient currently under treatment management and a roster of patients whose course is complete. For a patient on dialysis, the diagnosis code stays attached until a staff member changes it, so each new service line is billed without re-keying the diagnosis. Recurring appointments are scheduled in one step, and the scheduler allocates physicians, physician assistants, rooms and equipment with a click.

Claims that are correct the first time

The automatic scrubber is fully integrated and checks each service line as it is entered, not in a separate review later. CCI edit violations, payer-specific rules, code conflicts and missing pre-authorizations are flagged while the patient’s information is still in front of the biller. The result is fewer rejections and faster payment.

One system from charge to payment

Iridium Suite connects directly to the clearinghouse. Electronic claims are generated with a single click, responses arrive inside the system, and ERAs are imported automatically and posted, most of them without staff intervention. The Connectivity Clearinghouse brings demographic and charge data in from your EMR or EHR so nothing is entered twice.

Frequently asked

Can dialysis appointments be scheduled as a series?

Yes. Recurring appointments are booked in one step, and the scheduler assigns physicians, physician assistants, rooms and equipment.

Does the diagnosis have to be entered for every visit?

No. With the treatment-course workflow, the diagnosis stays attached to the patient for the whole course until a staff member changes it.

Can a practice choose between a treatment-course and a visit workflow?

Yes, the workflow is selected per practice. The treatment-course workflow lists every patient under treatment and keeps a roster of completed courses.

Does Iridium Suite bring data in from our EMR?

Yes. The Connectivity Clearinghouse imports demographics and charges from major EMR and EHR systems, so they are entered once.
